Yearbook Cover

So here are the designs that I first came up with, considering Music as the theme of this years yearbook.

Front

Back
So clearly the theme that i chose is music. I think this is the best choice for a theme because everyone likes some form of music. There is such variety, that allowed everyone to relate to it in some way. That is a good component for a yearbook because it brings everyone together. Also, the variety of genres and instruments (As well as music related items; headphones, speakers etc.) allow for alot of different elements. It can also be interacrive, by getting people who would like to enter their favourite lyrics ( awesome idea Niem :D )

Designs for the inside could include:
  • music notes for page numbers
  • music bars and notes in the background - could also do a collage of different band logo's
  • instruments/differnt genre's for dividers - ex. guitar/rock could be sports, piano/classic for teachers etc.
  • CD's/records/speakers for the mug shots. Instead of "mugs" it could be "artists", "stars" or "band members". - Also, instead of having "teachers" as a heading, it could be "composers".
  • Grad Quotes could go the sheet music, and upon request have baby photos also on CD's, records or speakers.
  • Autograph/Signature pages could be differe classic record covers, or other popular band logo's.
For the cover and back design, I used something that would flow across the pages. This allows the reader to follow it across, creating a more visually appealing look.
